Local IHOP donates meals to first responders
The owner, Peachtree Food Group, of the Augusta and Evans IHOP locations wanted to show their appreciation to first responders during this time.
On Wednesday morning, the group donated meals to South Star EMT. On Thursday, they donated to Augusta Fire.
Nick Hornsby, a managing partner with Peachtree Food Group, says they wanted to give back to the community even if it's just a small gesture.
Matthew Finnegan, the South Star chief of operations, says it was definitely appreciated. He says, "Well it's nice because it shows that the community is behind us and that we're all in this together...that we're all in this together."
